About Dutch Lion AgTech | Greenhouse & Vertical Farming Experts

Our roots

Where we come from

Our team was formed in the Westland, with deep experience in engineering, building, and managing greenhouse projects around the world. Working alongside growers, greenhouse builders, and other stakeholders, we kept running into the same problem: costs are too high.

What drives that is high capex and high opex. We believe both can be brought down by using space more efficiently. Greenhouses use only a fraction of the height they already have, and automation is built far more complex than the process actually requires. Efficiency and simplicity are won in the process, not in the machinery around it.

The Moving Tower System (MTSys) is our answer: a modular platform where vertical towers carrying the crop travel on an overhead monorail to centralised workstations, so labour and climate concentrate where they generate the most value.

What we do

We design, deliver and support automated growing systems for greenhouses and vertical farms. Every project is engineered around the crop and the site — not the other way around.

Greenhouse & vertical farming experts

We ship prefabricated modules from the Netherlands and commission them alongside local partners on site.

One platform, many crops

MTSys is running with leafy greens, herbs, strawberries and nursery crops — each with tailored growing recipes.

Long-term partnership

We support customers across the full lifecycle: feasibility, design, commissioning, operations and expansion.

Why Dutch Lion

MTSys typically delivers around 90% smaller footprint, 40% lower CAPEX and 20% lower crop costs compared to horizontal greenhouse cultivation. Just as important, it is designed to be understood and operated by growers, not just engineers. That combination — Dutch horticultural know-how, modular hardware and honest economics — is what Dutch Lion AgTech is built on.
